EquipmentShare is hiring a Traveling Technician (Mechanic) in the Pittsburgh, PA region to provide maintenance and repair for a variety of customer and company‑owned heavy equipment and aerial lifts. The role involves traveling to support branches, performing on‑site service, and using real‑time diagnostic tools.

Primary Responsibilities
- Travel within the assigned region to perform equipment service, maintenance, and repairs, including addressing hard and soft down equipment.
- Conduct machine inspections and prepare units for use.
- Use real‑time diagnostic tools, electrical and hydraulic expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment.
- Utilize technology (laptops, tablets, mobile phones) for documentation and diagnostics.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on rental and customer equipment and tools (pneumatic tools, material lifts, chain hoists, core drills, welders, pipe threaders, small engines) under supervision.
- Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
- Assist with pick‑up and delivery of equipment & parts.
- Adhere to OSHA requirements (preferred).
- Participate in year‑round company‑provided OEM training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Active applicable state class driver’s license.
- Mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of hand and power tools, schematics, and diagrams.
- Must own tools applicable to the position.
- Construction knowledge and background preferred.
- Physical ability to move, stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to pass a 10‑panel drug screen (safety‑sensitive position).
- Strong customer‑focused approach and ability to read schematics.

Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with overtime pay after 40 hours. On‑call during weekends only in special circumstances.
