Traveling Service Technician

About the role

As a Traveling Service Technician at Plunkett's, you'll travel between branches within the state of Indiana, gaining new skills and experiences while solving pest problems and helping customers feel safe at home. This role offers a fast track into a pest control career with varied work environments and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Jump into open routes across branches and provide great service to keep customers happy
• Back up other technicians during busy periods or when someone is out
• Travel between branches, including overnight trips about 30% of the time (hotel and travel costs covered) and daily drives of roughly 100-200 miles
• Learn to identify pests and treat homes and businesses effectively
• Work toward obtaining your state pest control license and certifications
• Log your work using a company-provided tablet
• Maintain a high standard for every customer interaction
• Keep your company truck and gear in top condition

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• No prior pest control experience needed; full training provided
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Willingness to travel, including overnight trips about 30% of the time
• Comfort with variety and new environments
• Self-starter attitude with the ability to manage your day independently
• Comfort using a tablet or phone app for work tasks

Physical requirements

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and climbing ladders to access attics and crawlspaces
• Ready to work outside in all weather conditions and around dust, chemicals, and bugs
• Able to sit and drive for long stretches while on the road

Pay

$23.00 – $25.00 per hour
