Traveling Service Technician

About the role

As a Traveling Service Technician at Plunkett's, you'll travel between branches within Wisconsin, gaining new skills and experiences while solving pest problems and helping customers feel safe at home. This role offers a fast track into a pest control career with varied work environments and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Jump into open routes across branches and provide great service to keep customers happy
• Back up other technicians during busy periods or absences
• Travel between branches, including overnight trips about 30% of the time (hotel and travel costs covered) and daily drives of roughly 100-200 miles
• Learn to identify pests and treat homes and businesses effectively
• Work toward obtaining your state pest control license and certifications
• Log your work using a company-provided tablet
• Maintain excellent customer interactions
• Keep your company truck and gear in top condition

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• No prior pest control experience needed; full training provided
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Willingness to travel, including overnight trips about 30% of the time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable with physical tasks: walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and climbing ladders to access attics and crawlspaces
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions and around dust, chemicals, and bugs
• Ability to sit and drive for extended periods
• Self-starter attitude with the ability to manage your day independently
• Comfort using a tablet or phone app for work tasks

Pay

$23.00 – $25.00 per hour
