This is a traveling position that requires working between the following offices: Dadeland (7300 N Kendall Dr #110, Miami, FL 33156), Miramar (2905 SW 160th Ave, Miramar, FL 33027), North Dade (17301 NW 27th Ave, Miami Gardens, FL 33056), and Pembroke Pines (home office, 140 S University Dr, Pembroke Pines, FL 33025). Mileage reimbursement is provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
- Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
- Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately
Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus
Requirements
Before applying, you must meet the following state requirements:
- Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays
- Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays)
- Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays
- Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification, and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations
- Michigan: Upon hiring, you must furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it
- New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training
- New York: Not applicable
- Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays)
- Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners
