Traveling Oral Surgery Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Aid the dental team in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Set up treatment areas, sterilize equipment, and keep workspaces tidy.
• Provide patients with oral hygiene tips and post-procedure care instructions.
• Assist dentists during procedures, anticipating and fulfilling their needs.
• Efficiently manage appointment schedules and maintain accurate patient records.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience or relevant formal training.
• Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong communication abilities and a friendly, caring demeanor.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic proficiency in dental software and technology.

Requirements

• State-specific certifications and training may be required based on location.
• For Connecticut: Certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• For Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit).
• For Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• For Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification, and annual CE requirements.
• For Michigan: X-ray training certification upon hire.
• For New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
• For New York: Not applicable.
• For Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit).
• For Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.

Pay

Competitive compensation package offered.

Schedule

Mondays: Regency Square – 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM
Tuesdays: TBD
Wednesdays: Carrollwood – 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM
Thursdays: Land O’ Lakes – 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM
Fridays: Pasadena – 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM
