About the role
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to prepare and administer radioactive drugs and operate radiation detection and imaging equipment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radioactive drugs
- Operate radiation detection and imaging equipment
- Perform various diagnostic procedures such as DEXA scans, cardiac scans, stress rest tests, HIDA scans, renal scans, bone scans, and PET CT
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine
- BLS certification
- 2 years’ experience as a nuclear med tech
- NMTCB or ARRT (NM) certification required
- Dosimeter (dose reader badge) required
- ME State license
Qualifications
- Experience with DEXA scans, cardiac scans, stress rest tests, HIDA scans, renal scans, bone scans, and PET CT
Skills
- Proficiency in operating radiation detection and imaging equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and medical staff
