About the role
Prepare and administer radioactive drugs and operate radiation detection and imaging equipment under the guidance of a multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Administer radioactive drugs to patients
- Operate and maintain radiation detection and imaging equipment
- Document patient information accurately and securely
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine
- BLS certification
- 2 years’ experience as a nuclear medicine technologist
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine
- Registered in Nuclear Medicine with the ARRT or the NMTCB
Qualifications
- Experience in a clinical setting
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Proficiency in radiation safety protocols
- Knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and equipment
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
