Traveling Merchandiser

About the Role
As a Merchandiser, you’ll drive to customer locations using your personal vehicle to meet with the customer, place merchandise in display areas following set plan-o-grams, and ensure every square foot of the store is properly set according to plan. You must assess critical needs and notify management immediately of any issues. You’ll also evaluate customer sales, identify underperforming or discontinued items, and recommend replacements to increase sales and profits.
Pay
$18.00 an hour
Schedule
Monday - Friday starting at 8am. 50%-70% driving travel is required, including overnights. Territory covers San Antonio, South, and North Texas areas. Phone & car allowance plus mileage reimbursement available. Company-paid hotels provided when traveling.
Responsibilities
- Service assigned stores as scheduled daily
- Provide excellent customer service
- Merchandise, stock, price, face shelves, rotate stock, and clean products and shelves at customer locations
- Arrange store shelves or display areas as required by each store
- Monitor potential account problems at the store level and report to Sales and/or Sales Manager
- Maintain safe store aisles
- Maintain assigned equipment
- Report hours to division on provided time sheets
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- 6+ months merchandising and customer-facing experience
- Ability to interpret and execute planograms
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and proper valid insurance
- Frequently lift products weighing 5-25 lbs throughout the day
- Ability to lift a case of product or tote weighing up to 70 lbs
