Responsibilities
- Maintain responsibility for the material purchasing process including issuing POs, determining appropriate timing of material orders, and purchase tracking.
- Maintain organization of inventory and yard at assigned facilities.
- Order and coordinate project supplies to arrive on time and at the correct location.
- Receive new material shipments and verify order content and completeness.
- Physically or mechanically handle and store new material shipments.
- Develop and create reporting for Min/Max levels, material demand, forecast, and budget purposes.
- Manage inventory for specific jobs by staging materials from each job's pick list.
- Communicate inventory needs to the Supply Chain Manager.
- Aid in holding employees and subcontractors accountable to appropriate documentation of inventory as it is taken and returned to designated yards/warehouses.
- Care for inventory management for specific jobs by staging materials from each job's pick list.
- Coordinate and/or conduct physical inventory reconciliations and follow-up on inventory discrepancies.
- Act as the primary lead at the site for all customer material requests and check outs.
- Deliver material to other locations or job sites as needed.
- Participate in and adhere to all Company Safety requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
- Must be able to pass background check and drug tests.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Apply reasoning ability and understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Apply knowledge of Internet software, database, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
- Maintain a current DOT health card certificate.
- Forklift certification.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
- Class A driver’s license preferred.
- Travel is required.
- Physical Abilities & Exposures: Wear required personal protective equipment; Sit, Stand, or walk on a frequent basis; Frequently stand on a concrete surface; Frequently kneel, squat, bend and twist on a concrete surface; Frequent use of hearing and sight; Occasionally work in adverse weather conditions; Lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis; Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.; Be in a frequently loud environment.
