Traveling Fixture Installer

Location: Green Bay, WI

About the role

We are a diversified construction company specializing in commercial & residential flooring, glass & glazing, walls & ceilings, commercial doors & hardware, and millwork & fixture installation. As a Traveling Fixture Installer, you will travel for 3 weeks at a time to perform installations nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Use and maintain hand tools, portable power tools, and stationary power tools in a safe manner
• Basic knowledge of tool and equipment safety
• Identify and correct environmental or other workplace hazards
• Learn and receive instruction/direction from the project leader
• Installation of:
  • Casework (wood base, casing, and crown molding)
  • Countertops
  • Metal racking
  • Vinyl graphics
  • Acrylic lettering
  • Stand-offs
  • Banners
  • And more
• Perform other related duties as assigned, including supporting team members to ensure efficient and effective business operations

Requirements

• Experience with new construction and/or remodels for nationwide big box retailers preferred but not required
• Floor covering experience preferred, but not required
• 2+ years of previous experience in graphics, fixture installation, or other related fields is a plus
• Any combination of education and experience demonstrating the knowledge and ability to perform the work; experience with commercial/retail settings preferred
• Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods while performing physical labor
• Skills to multi-task, work in a team setting, and meet deadlines
• Ability to read and understand blueprints preferred, but not required
• Forklift experience preferred
• Valid state driver’s license is required
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen
• Adherence to all company policies

Skills

• Wood, steel, drywall, and metal framing construction (preferred)
• Floor coverings (VCT, carpet, ceramic) (preferred)
