Traveling Field / Installation Technician - Omaha, NE

About the Role

Lifeway Mobility is seeking a Traveling Field / Installation Technician to join our team in Omaha, NE. This role involves installing and servicing accessibility solutions such as wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, and ceiling lifts that help individuals regain independence. The position requires travel to Kansas City, MO and Wichita, KS, and operates on a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule with occasional Saturday overtime available. Paid manufacturer training and hands-on learning are provided.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and load the company vehicle at our Omaha location each morning
• Install and repair accessibility products, including wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, and ceiling lifts
• Explain the project to the customer and answer any questions they may have
• Enter work order and inventory data into our system (basic computer skills required)
• Work independently or as part of a two-person team
• Complete jobs ranging from a few hours to a few days—no overnight travel required

Qualifications

• Experience using hand and power tools
• Basic computer skills for work orders and inventory
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a company vehicle to job sites
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and motor vehicle record check
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs. and work overhead for short periods
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors year-round
• Able to climb ladders, crouch, and occasionally work in confined spaces and at heights

Preferred Background

• Background in construction, carpentry, HVAC, solar, or other installation/service trades is a plus

Pay

$22–25 per hour.
