Traveling Electrical Superintendent
About the role
Amteck is seeking Traveling Electrical Service Superintendents for our Service Department. You will travel to projects across the country to lead teams of electricians and apprentices. The position offers long‑term opportunities, steady work, benefits, and a 401(k). Amteck promotes growth and longevity within the trade, providing training in low‑voltage, fire alarm, controls, instrumentation, and other skill sets.
Responsibilities
- Travel to various project sites nationwide and oversee electrical work.
- Lead and supervise teams of 5‑10 electricians and apprentices.
- Install conduit, wire, and cable systems as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Install and terminate panels, switchboards, and other electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty circuits, equipment, or systems.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 10+ years of electrical experience on commercial or industrial sites.
- Master Electrician License preferred.
- Ability to install conduit, wire, and cable systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to install and terminate panels, switchboards, and other electrical equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs on faulty circuits, equipment, or systems.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required.
- Conveyor/press experience preferred but not required.
- Experience supervising a team of 5‑10 personnel.
