Traveling Electrical Superintendent
About the role
Amteck is seeking Traveling Electrical Service Superintendents for our Service Department. The position involves traveling to projects across the country to lead teams of electricians and apprentices. Candidates will have the chance to diversify their electrical skill set through training in low voltage, fire alarm, controls, instrumentation, and other specialties.
Responsibilities
- Travel to various project sites nationwide and oversee electrical work.
- Lead and supervise teams of 5‑10 electricians and apprentices.
- Install conduit, wire, and cable systems as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Install and terminate panels, switchboards, and other electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty circuits, equipment, or systems.
- Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of electrical experience on commercial or industrial sites.
- Master Electrician license preferred.
- Ability to install conduit, wire, and cable systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Experience installing and terminating panels, switchboards, and other electrical equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for circuits, equipment, or systems.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required.
- Conveyor/press experience preferred but not required.
- Experience supervising a team of 5‑10 personnel.
