Responsibilities
- Affixes drilling operations, including borings and Geoprobe work.
- Locates boring positions in the field using maps, plans, or GPS systems.
- Records required drilling data accurately.
- Reports project-specific issues to the Project Manager or Supervisor.
- Performs routine maintenance on drill rigs and support trucks and reports repair needs.
- Fulfills company safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Loads drill rigs and support vehicles with necessary supplies each day.
- Completes timesheets and field documentation promptly and accurately.
- Maintains professional behavior and quality standards.
- Works out of town and on non-standard schedules as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 0 years of related experience.
- If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required.
- OSHA 40 certification (preferred).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans.
- A basic mechanical aptitude.
- The ability to work effectively under close supervision.
- Hands-on experience with drill rigs, drilling procedures, and sampling methods (preferred).
- The ability to travel overnight as needed for project-related work.
