Traveling Driller Helper

Responsibilities

• Affixes drilling operations, including borings and Geoprobe work.
• Locates boring positions in the field using maps, plans, or GPS systems.
• Records required drilling data accurately.
• Reports project-specific issues to the Project Manager or Supervisor.
• Performs routine maintenance on drill rigs and support trucks and reports repair needs.
• Fulfills company safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Loads drill rigs and support vehicles with necessary supplies each day.
• Completes timesheets and field documentation promptly and accurately.
• Maintains professional behavior and quality standards.
• Works out of town and on non-standard schedules as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• 0 years of related experience.
• If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required.
• OSHA 40 certification (preferred).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• The ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans.
• A basic mechanical aptitude.
• The ability to work effectively under close supervision.
• Hands-on experience with drill rigs, drilling procedures, and sampling methods (preferred).
• The ability to travel overnight as needed for project-related work.
