Traveling Dental Assistant

Join our dynamic and growing dental team as a Dental Assistant at Great Expressions Dental Centers. This traveling position requires frequent travel between our Stuart and Boynton Beach offices, and mileage reimbursement is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post‑treatment care.
• Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow.
• Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist.
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus.

Requirements

• Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays.
• Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X‑rays).
• Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays.
• Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X‑rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements.
• Michigan: Evidence of X‑ray training certification upon hiring (or within an 8‑week period).
• New Jersey: Proof of X‑ray training.
• New York: Not applicable.
• Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X‑rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X‑rays).
• Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE (TX State Board of Dental Examiners) certification.
