This position is eligible for remote work. Candidate must be located in Maine, Vermont, or Massachusetts. Travel is required (75%).

About the Role

As a Site Superintendent, you will support projects from contract to completion, managing resources, schedules, financials, and adherence to quality and safety throughout the project life cycle. This includes managing issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time delivery. The Site Superintendent oversees the project’s field operations daily, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards within time and cost constraints while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and enforce safety requirements to ensure compliance with industry and company standards.
  • Assist with implementing Scopes of Work, Delineation of Responsibilities, and Proposals for project execution.
  • Lead project scheduling, budget, and document management from contract to completion.
  • Provide leadership for the project team by motivating subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers to meet project goals and milestones.
  • Track and report on project results and metrics.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Procure subcontractors and suppliers to achieve project objectives within planned timeframes and budgets.
  • Coordinate day-to-day project activities, resources, and team meetings.
  • Use project management software (BuilderTrend) to provide status reporting on milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.
  • Demonstrate functional and financial acumen to align solutions with client goals and industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and manage changes as needed.
  • Mitigate project issues and risks to maintain baseline budgets.
  • Ensure all job site activities comply with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of commercial construction-related experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal, and presentation), and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, decisive, and adaptable to change and competing demands.
  • Technical proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project management software.
  • Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Experience working independently and in a collaborative environment with strong prioritization and time management.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of safety field concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • Skilled in negotiation with customers and vendors/subcontractors.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects.
  • Experience directing the work of others to ensure project completion and success.
  • Reliance on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management (desired).
  • Knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC).
  • OSHA 30 Certification (preferred).
  • Knowledge of approval agencies and state requirement processes.
  • Modular building industry experience (preferred).
