A Day in the Life
- Ensure that adequate manpower is provided as required to meet construction schedules
- Analyze and assist general superintendent in determining construction equipment requirements, provide necessary equipment as required to utilize manpower efficiently, and release equipment when not required
- Determine job requirement quantities for each phase of work
- Direct and supervise the activities of carpenters, cement finishers, iron workers and laborers in the performance of their regular duties
- Inform all supervisors promptly of any construction schedule changes
- Review and assist project manager in the approval of all requisitions, and other significant reports and documents
- Report regularly to the project manager to keep them constantly informed on job progress, plans, and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules
- Cooperate with the general contractor and representatives, keeping them informed of construction progress
- Maintain a daily diary to permanently record all significant project facts, events, conditions, visitors, owner representative contacts, commitments, agreements and approvals
- Direct adherence to the company’s safety program in all phases and areas of the project
- Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees, while maintaining constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations
- Carry out any additional responsibilities assigned
Necessary Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience as a working Concrete Foreman on tilt-up construction projects that are a minimum of 100k sq ft
- PREFERRED: Rigging, OSHA 10-hour, aerial lifts, and variable reach certifications
- Willing to travel throughout the United States
- Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in your state of residence
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: standing or walking for long periods of time, occasionally on uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and/or lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
