Traveling Civil Project Engineer (Renewables)
About the role
Calin and Goss is a relationship-driven civil construction company focused on honesty, fairness, hard work, and a genuine love of construction. We are seeking a Project Engineer who is eager to learn, collaborate, and grow while supporting the successful delivery of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Support the coordination of drawings, schedules, materials, costs, and quality throughout the life of the project.
- Aid in document control, submittals, change management, production tracking, and site coordination.
- Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Calnin & Goss quality standards.
Requirements
- A four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent technical training and experience).
- A strong appreciation for safety, ethics, and quality, with the ability to support site safety efforts and follow applicable codes and standards.
- A solid understanding of construction drawings, specifications, materials, and equipment, with a desire to build deeper technical knowledge.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, field teams, subcontractors, consultants, and owners.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with experience supporting documentation such as submittals, RFIs, schedules, reports, and cost tracking.
- A willingness to be hands-on, splitting time between the office and active construction sites to support project delivery.
- A growth mindset, someone who is curious, dependable, and eager to learn, aligned with Calnin & Goss values of humility, grit, and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Prior internship or field experience in civil or heavy construction.
- Experience assisting with submittals, shop drawings, change documentation, or quantity tracking.
- Familiarity with production tracking, site logistics planning, or material procurement coordination.
- Interest in long-term growth into Project Management or field leadership roles.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $63,000-$80,222 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data.
