About the role
The Project Engineer supports the permitting and construction phases of renewable energy projects, focusing on transportation and traffic aspects. They coordinate tasks, provide training, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Apply engineering knowledge to design and execute transportation tasks.
- Train and review work by staff engineers and technicians.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the project lifecycle and its impact on local infrastructure.
- Communicate with county, townships, cities, and AHJs to facilitate smooth permitting processes.
- Collaborate with field staff and technical experts to complete design tasks and produce project deliverables.
- Evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Gain specialized knowledge and develop engineering skills through mentorship.
- Coordinate with subconsultants to support client needs and project schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 2-4 years of experience in the A&E industry.
- EIT certification required, pursuit of PE preferred.
- Superior organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Sharp attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities, budgets, schedules, and high-stakes decisions.
- Proven ability to thrive in collaborative environments and travel to project sites.
- An interest in renewable energy development and design.

$85,000-95,000
