Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals for facility residents
• Cook food according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, and number of portions to be served
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware
• Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity

Requirements

• Cook Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 years of kitchen or food preparation experience
• Experience working with seniors is preferred
• Knowledge of sanitation rules
• Able to understand recipes and calculate measurements
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Understanding or ability to learn the use of commercial kitchen equipment
