Traveling Assistant Mechanical Superintendent

About the role

Traveling Assistant Mechanical Superintendent position supporting mechanical construction work on data center projects. Based out of Richmond, VA with per diem provided. First and second shifts available.

Responsibilities

• Help lead daily jobsite operations, keep work on schedule, and support safe, productive teams
• Coordinate trade workers and subcontractors, monitor progress, and help solve problems as they arise
• Enforce company safety rules, pretask plans, and site audits
• Direct and coordinate trade workers and subcontractors
• Read blueprints, specifications, job orders, and shop and spool drawings
• Oversee field installation and inspect work for quality and conformance
• Coordinate material and equipment deliveries with project schedules
• Attend project meetings and complete daily reports
• Coach teammates on safe, productive work practices
• Provide input on hiring, transfers, promotions, and discipline

Requirements

• Journeyman-level experience in HVAC, plumbing, or construction management
• Previous supervisory experience
• Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems and International Building Codes
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
• Comfort using laptops, tablets, smartphones, Microsoft Teams, Procore, and BIM
• Ability to read and understand project documents in English

Pay & Schedule

$40–45/hr DOE. First and second shifts available. Traveling position based out of Richmond, VA with per diem provided.
