Traveler Registered Nurse

About the role

DaVita is seeking a Traveler Registered Nurse to join an internal travel team called Air Lift. The role involves working in outpatient dialysis centers in New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and Colorado for 4-12 weeks assignments.

Responsibilities

• Work with your hiring manager to determine coverage assignment location and length of stay.
• Build long-term patient relationships in an outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with a small interdisciplinary team of clinicians including technicians, dietitians, social workers, physicians, and the center manager.
• Deliver specialized, complex care to patients with multiple co-morbidities.
• Manage a group of patients with the support of PCTs, conducting patient observations, measuring stats, and machine set up.
• Work in a fast-paced environment overseeing census-dependent patients.

Requirements

• Dialysis experience is required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• A.D.N., B.S.N., or three-year diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Desire to deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way.
• Experience assessing, trouble shooting, and making sound recommendations in stressful situations.
• Excellent communication skills to listen and communicate with patients and teammates.

Skills

• Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience is a plus.
• Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN).

Pay

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. DaVita offers a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k match, healthcare coverage, and a broad range of other benefits.

Schedule

Shifts are typically 10-12 hours, 3-4 days/week. Schedule times will vary by locations but most of our RNs work early morning or day shifts. Some holidays are required.

Travel Expenses Covered

This includes mileage, meals, flight, and lodging.
