Traveler Registered Nurse
About the role
DaVita is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse to cover 4-12 week assignments in outpatient dialysis centers in New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Work with your hiring manager to determine assignment location and duration.
- Build long-term patient relationships in an outpatient setting.
- Collaborate with a supportive team of clinicians including technicians, dietitians, social workers, and physicians.
- Deliver specialized, complex care to patients with multiple co-morbidities.
- Manage a group of patients (dependent on state laws) under the supervision of PCTs.
- Work flexible schedules, including early morning or day shifts, with potential for holidays.
Requirements
- Dialysis experience is required.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- A current CPR certification.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) or three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
- Experience in areas such as ICU, CCU, ER, or Med Surg is preferred.
- Knowledge of Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience is preferred.
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification is preferred.

- Expertise in dialysis procedures.
- Ability to assess, trouble shoot, and make sound recommendations in stressful situations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.

Pay
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
Schedule
Shifts are typically 10-12 hours, 3-4 days/week. Schedule times will vary by locations but most of our RNs work early morning or day shifts. Some holidays are required.
