Travel Xray Technologist - $1,980 per week

About the role

Travel Radiology Technologist position in Garden City, Kansas. This 13-week assignment involves working in a fast-paced Radiology department with a focus on general X-ray imaging, including ER, ICU, inpatient, outpatient, OR, and Fluoroscopy procedures. The role requires independence, proficiency in DR skills, and some OR experience. The schedule includes 7.5-hour shifts, primarily Monday through Friday, with rotating Sunday night call.

Schedule

• 7.5-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Rotating call on Sunday nights
• Flexible schedule with requested time off permitted
• 37 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Perform general X-ray imaging in outpatient, ER, ICU, inpatient, OR, and Fluoroscopy settings
• Assist in patient transfers alongside CT technologists
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Cover imaging needs after hours or for late surgeries
• Submit a radiology badge as required

Requirements

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT - Radiation Therapist)
• Kansas Licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an X-ray technologist
• Experience with general ER, ICU, inpatient, OR, and Fluoroscopy imaging
• Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DR imaging
• Some OR experience
• Proficiency in using EMR (Epic) and PACS (Synapse Fugi)

Work Environment

• Department includes 2 X-ray rooms, 2 portable units, and 3 C-arm machines
• In-house radiologist available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• After-hours on-call coverage by the radiologist
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment (or 3 shifts for shorter terms)
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) utilized in the department
