About the role

Xray Technologist in Radiology is primarily responsible for performing routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as operating room procedures, in a healthcare setting. This role involves ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable imaging services while providing high-quality patient care and maintaining safety standards.

Schedule

• Evenings, 12-hour shifts (12 p.m. to 11 p.m.)
• 36 hours per week minimum
• 13-week assignment (11/09/2026 – 02/06/2027)

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology
• NYS Radiology Technologist license
• ARRT(R) certification
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)
• 2 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Perform routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures
• Establish effective communication with referring physicians and ancillary departments
• Ensure radiation safety according to ALARA principles
• Provide thorough documentation and patient education
• Ensure safety procedures are met while adhering to clinical principles, hospital policies, and incident reporting protocols
• Demonstrate knowledge of information service systems
• Collaborate with team members to optimize patient care
• Perform other related duties as required

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
