About the role
ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Rochester, New York. This position requires 36 hours per week with flexible 12-hour shifts, including on-call, callback, and holiday coverage. Candidates must be able to report within 30 minutes for on-call shifts, which may involve 2-3 call shifts per month.
Responsibilities
- Verify patients' identity and review physician orders before conducting x-ray procedures.
- Operate x-ray equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per physician’s orders.
- Explain x-ray procedures to patients and address any queries.
- Position patients correctly, including lifting and assisting those with limited mobility.
- Handle radiologic equipment safely, maintaining low radiation doses to patients.
- Monitor each patient’s status and respond to their age-specific needs.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists.
- Notify management of any damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment.
- Utilize electronic patient information systems for verification of patient data and images.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure images are sent to the PACS system correctly.
Requirements
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Current certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Valid NYS license (or ability to obtain it prior to starting).
- Minimum of 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience, including Level 1 trauma center exposure.
- Recent experience using c-arm/o-arm within the past 8 months.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with effective communication abilities.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday, day shift (8-hour shifts).
- Includes on-call, callback, and holiday coverage as needed.
- On-call shifts may require reporting within 30 minutes (2-3 call shifts per month).
