TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Ithaca, New York. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts. Employment type: Travel.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist
• BLS certification
• ARRT (R) National Certification
• State-specific licensing when required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Note: Some assignments may require additional certifications before beginning; one listing indicates 2 years of experience may be needed.

Schedule

12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week for 13 weeks.

Pay

Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
