Travel X-Ray Tech - $1,924 per week
About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel Radiology Technician for a 13-week assignment in New Orleans, Louisiana. The position starts on August 19, 2026, and works 36 hours per week, 12 hours per shift, nights.
Responsibilities
- Perform bedside/portable procedures and C-arm procedures
- Work in various departments including adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, ICU, operating room, and pediatric acute care areas
- Handle patient ratios of 1:1
- Follow a 7-on/7-off rotation with a schedule of 6 12-hour night shifts and 1 8-hour night shift on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays
- Schedule includes every third weekend off
- No on-call requirement
- May float to other areas
- Use GE and Philips imaging equipment and Epic EMR
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technician
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- BLS certification
- LSRT license if applicable
- C-arm and trauma experience
- Epic charting experience
- Experience with abdominal, chest, spine, pelvis, upper and lower extremity, and head imaging studies
- Fluoroscopy study experience, including arthrography, barium swallow, contrast enema, ERCP, and myelography
- Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety
- Experience with preparation and/or administration of contrast media

Schedule
Shifts are 12 hours, nights, with a 7-on/7-off rotation, including 6 12-hour night shifts and 1 8-hour night shift on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays. Weekends are every third weekend off.
Qualifications
Must have a teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience.
Skills
Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety.
