About the role
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technician for a 13-week assignment starting September 14, 2026, in Portland, Oregon.
Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
- Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
- Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
- Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
- Calibrate imaging equipment
- Prepare results for Physician to review
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
- Must have 1 year of experience
- Must have BLS certification
- Must have ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
Qualifications
