Travel X-Ray Tech - $1,606 per week

About the role

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Memphis, TN. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of experience
• Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required
• Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
• Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
