Travel Universal Banker

Overview

United Community Bank is looking for a full-time Travel Universal Banker. This position offers the opportunity to deliver excellent experiences for customers and prospects, providing service for both teller and platform responsibilities at branch locations.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain extensive knowledge of retail bank products and services and look for opportunities to strengthen existing customer relationships and develop new relationships by understanding customers' needs while considering different perspectives.
• Promote, explain, open, and renew financial institution services such as consumer loans, IRAs, Certificates of Deposit, safe deposit boxes, etc.
• Drive proactive needs-based sales conversations through interactions, including service to sales, teller interactions, and appointment setting.
• Absorb and educate customers on managing transactions using technology and other available tools.
• Perform transactions of a paying and receiving teller, such as receiving checks for deposit, verifying amounts, examining checks for proper endorsement, cashing checks, placing holds on accounts for uncollected funds, and daily balancing of cash drawers.
• Apply product and service knowledge to effectively solve customer problems.
• Absorb and assist other staff in serving customers, answering telephones, and performing other duties as necessary.

Requirements For Success

• Minimum 3 years of retail sales experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and accommodate travel to different branches as needed.
• Knowledge of consumer credit structuring and lending practices.
• Demonstrated analytical, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies.

Conditions of Employment

• Must be able to pass a background and credit check.
• This is a full-time non-remote position.
• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
