About the role
Responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to capture accurate images for medical interpretation, preparing patients, and maintaining equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate sonographic equipment and identify areas of concern
- Assist radiologists during procedures and biopsies
- Report abnormal findings promptly
- Ensure equipment functionality and maintain patient records using PACS systems
- Educate patients and their families about procedures
- Perform scans and assist with ultrasound-guided procedures
Requirements
- At least 1 year of ultrasound experience
- BLS certification
- ARDMS certification
- Relevant state licensure
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lean for extended periods
- Additional certifications may be needed before deployment
