Travel Ultrasound Technologist - $2,702 per week

TotalMed Allied, a Top Ten travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency, is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Fargo, North Dakota. The position requires 40 hours per week on 10‑hour night shifts. The technologist will operate ultrasound equipment, prepare patients, assist radiologists, and maintain accurate records using the McKesson PACS system.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound‑guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• Current BLS certification
• ARDMS National Certification (RDMS)
• State‑specific licensing when required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional preferred certifications: ARDMS (RDMS AB), ARDMS (RDMS OB/GYN), ARDMS (RDMS RVT), ARDMS (RVT) – some specialties may require 2 years of experience
