Travel Ultrasound Technologist position in Shenandoah, Iowa. Start date: February 8, 2027. Duration: 13 weeks. Employment type: Travel. TotalMed Allied is a Top Ten travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency that places clinicians nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• ARDMS, BLS, 2 Years (additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment).
