Travel Ultrasound Technologist - $2,256 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. This position requires 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, and operates on a day shift. The employment type is travel.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of experience
• Must have BLS certification
• Must have ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required
• Should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
• Must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology

Qualifications

• BLS, ARDMS (RDMS RVT), ARDMS (RDMS AB), ARDMS (RDMS OB/GYN), ARDMS (RDMS PE), 2 Years

Skills

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• Ability to operate ultrasound equipment

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
