American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer for an acute care Ultrasound Tech unit. The position requires 1+ years of experience and ARDMS or ARRT certification. The role is set in an acute care setting within the Ultrasound Tech unit, uses MEDITECH EMR, and follows a day shift schedule with no on-call expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations in an acute care setting
• Operate ultrasound equipment and acquire diagnostic images
• Document findings and patient information in MEDITECH EMR
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
• Adhere to the assigned day shift schedule
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• ARDMS or ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• State license required if applicable
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• Candidates must reside outside a 75‑mile radius of the facility
• Candidates must not have been employed by the facility in the past 12 months

Schedule

• Day shift, 5×8‑hour shifts
• 40 hours per week
• Shift pattern: Monday‑Thursday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; Friday 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
