Travel Ultrasound Sonographer - $2,542 per week

About the role

We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Weirton, WV. The right US Tech must have 1 year of experience. As a US Tech, you will be responsible for the use of the ultrasound machine and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. US Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing ultrasound testing. This is a 13‑week travel assignment starting 11/16/2026, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound‑guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• BLS certification
• ARDMS National Certification (RDMS, RVT)
• State‑specific licensing where required
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
