Travel Trauma General Surgery Stepdown RN - $2,320 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN Stepdown position in Morgantown, West Virginia, specializing in stepdown care on a trauma and general surgery inpatient unit that also hosts a nationally recognized comprehensive bariatric surgery center.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for multi‑trauma, TBI, fracture, general surgery (cholecystectomy, ostomy, etc.) and bariatric surgery patients.
• Manage stepdown patients with a 1:3 nurse‑to‑patient ratio and floor/med‑surg patients with a 1:6 ratio.
• Perform typical med‑surg duties as needed on the unit.
• Work on a 30‑bed unit (12 floor beds, 18 stepdown beds).

Requirements

• Current RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• Epic electronic health record experience.
• Level 1 trauma center experience.
• Experience working with a 1:6 patient ratio (floor/med‑surg) and 1:3 ratio (stepdown).
