About the role
Join our dynamic 33-bed Trauma and General Surgery inpatient unit, known for its high-impact and fast-paced environment. Nursing staff participates in collaborative care management alongside surgical and medical services, along with rehabilitation and perioperative services. Nurses on this unit work with a diverse range of patient conditions including complex wound care, traumatic injuries, and bariatric surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with multi-trauma, TBI, complex spinal cord injuries, and post-surgical recovery.
- Implement care plans including complex wound care and managing drains and devices.
- Cook/coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 for floor patients and 1:3 for stepdown patients.
Requirements
- Must have Epic experience and Level 1 Trauma experience.
- BLS Certification is required.
- Experience in complex wound care, drains, and devices is essential.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
