Number of Beds: 36 Patient Ratios: 4:1 with cath recovery; maximum ratio of 6:1, may be stretched to 7:1 under certain circumstances. Staffing Description: Includes patient care technicians on both day and night shifts, and unit clerks on day shift. Equipment Used: Remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps. Documentation System: Meditech. Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend required. Floating Policy: Agency floats first (may float to Orthopedic/Medical-Surgical units). Patient Experience Goal: Striving for a 75% patient satisfaction rate. Certifications Required BLS ACLS NIH Stroke Certification Hiring Profile Requested Skill Set Must have telemetry experience. Advanced skills needed: Knowledge of chest tubes and training in dysrhythmias. Procedures performed on unit: Chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis. Dress Code Any scrubs are acceptable, except for camouflage patterns.
