Job Summary
Telemetry Nurse in the Telemetry specialty, located in the healthcare facility's acute care division, responsible for providing specialized monitoring and nursing care for patients with cardiac or other conditions requiring continuous electronic cardiorespiratory monitoring. The position requires delivering high-quality patient care within a fast-paced environment, adhering to clinical standards and protocols to support patient recovery and safety.
Schedule
12-hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of related clinical experience
Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS recommended
Responsibilities
- Interpreting telemetry strips
- Titrating drips (such as Cardizem and heparin)
- Troubleshooting ventilator equipment (Cpap, Bipap)
- Managing patient care for individuals with diagnoses such as MI, CHF, A fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, and other lung surgeries
- Working within Nurse to Patient ratios of 1:4–5 during days and 1:5–6 during nights, with additional staffing as needed for greater patient care demands
- Floating to other general medical units as required
- Reading and interpreting telemetry strips on Phillips monitors
- Using the EPIC charting system
Submission Requirements
- Last four digits of clinician's SSN
- Active IL license or application confirmation

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
