Type of staff: Day Shift – 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs, 1 Unit Clerk
Night Shift - 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs
Patient Ratios – 1:6; 1:4 for Heart Cath patients - estimated never guaranteed
Type of equipment – PCA Pumps; IV pumps; Chest Tubes
EMR - Meditech
Typical hiring profile: Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital Telemetry experience
BLS & ACLS
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Prior Meditech experience
NIH
List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Central lines; Medication drips; Heart Cath recovery; Bubble studies
Best personality Fit: Positive Attitude/Engaged; Independent; Strong critical thinking skills; Positive patient care experience
