Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse - $2,035 per week

About the role

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a 13‑week assignment in Freeport, Illinois, starting 10/19/2026. The position involves providing specialized care to patients with cardiac conditions, stroke, congestive heart failure, and other acute diagnoses in an acute care setting, overseeing patient monitoring, administering drips, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and titrate titratable medications such as Cardizem, Amio, Dopamine, and Heparin.
• Respond to acute patient needs.
• Sign off on telemetry strips.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and phlebotomy certifications required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in cath lab post‑recovery (femoral/radial) and stroke care highly preferred.
• Drip experience required.

Skills

• Experience with Meditech is a plus.
• Ability to float to ICU, Medical‑Surgical, or Emergency Room as needed.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

• 12‑hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM).
• 36 hours per week.
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
