About the role
Telemetry (TELE) Registered Nurse (RN) position providing specialized nursing care for patients in the telemetry unit with a focus on monitoring and managing cardiac and other high-acuity patients. This assignment is scheduled for night shifts, utilizing a 3x12-hour shift pattern, with a commitment to a rotating holiday schedule.
Schedule
- Nights, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Weekends and rotating holidays
- Minimum 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for patients in the telemetry unit
- Monitor and manage cardiac and other high-acuity patients
- Adhere to hospital or healthcare facility standard operating procedures and clinical protocols
Requirements
- Valid nursing license
- 2 years of telemetry or progressive care unit (PCU)/intensive care unit (ICU) experience
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- American Heart Association (AHA) certifications
- Current clearance to work at the location
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic fetal monitoring
- Experience with telemetry monitoring systems
- Experience with cardiac patient care
