About the role
Access Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Salem, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
- Float between 8 different units throughout the hospital: Davenport 5, Davenport 7, Davenport 8, Davenport 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow.
- Perform telemetry monitoring including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours.
- Manage cardiac drips and read tele strips.
- Care for ED border patients.
- Serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit.
- Care for non-vented patients who are transfer ready in the ICU.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN License.
- AHA BLS certification.
- 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location.
- 2 years working as a Traveler.
- Must be willing to float to 8 different units.
- TR Band experience required.
Schedule
- Duration: 13 weeks.
- 36 hours per week.
- 12-hour night shifts.
- Weekend rotation required (EOW).
- Days/Eves rotate with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract.

- Clinician to Patient Ratio: Days & Eves up to 5:1; Nights up to 6:1.
- Bed Count: 371.
- Census: Units range from 8 to 41 beds.
- EMR (Charting System): EPIC.
- Free on-site parking.
