Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery
- Manage surgical instruments and equipment
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Surgical First Assistant in Virginia
- At least 2 years of experience as a Surgical First Assistant
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
- Knowledge of surgical techniques and protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications
- Passing score on the Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) exam
- Experience working in an acute care setting
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
