Travel Surgery Radiologic Technologist - $1,849 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Longview, Texas. The position requires 40 hours per week on 8‑hour day shifts. As a travel allied health professional, you will work with TotalMed Allied, a top‑ten travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency that places clinicians nationwide.

Responsibilities

As a Radiology Technologist, you will use diagnostic imaging equipment to produce accurate images for physician interpretation and prepare and care for patients undergoing radiologic testing.

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required.
• Follow physicians’ orders regarding which area of the patient’s body needs imaging.
• Correctly position the patient and adjust imaging equipment to the appropriate position.
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to self and patient by taking appropriate protection precautions.
• Calibrate imaging equipment.
• Prepare results for physician review.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist (some assignments may require 2 years).
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT (R) National Certification; state‑specific licensing as required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
