Travel Stepdown Telemetry RN - $2,301 per week
About the role
The Registered Nurse will provide care in a stepdown and floor unit, handling a total of 32 beds, which includes 12 stepdown beds and 20 floor beds. The nurse will be responsible for managing a typical MedSurg population that may present with various conditions such as Chest Pain, COPD, AMS, Pneumonia, UTI, and Abdominal Pain. The role also includes oversight of hospice patients as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a stepdown and floor setting.
- Titrates drips for patients in the stepdown unit.
- Administers treatments and medications as prescribed.
- Maintains patient conditions and reports any changes to the charge nurse.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Reads telemetry strips and responds to alerts as necessary.
- Auxiliaries in patient education and establishes care plans.
- Conducts assessments and documents findings in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
Requirements
- Current RN license is required.
- BLS certification is required.
- Experience in a MedSurg or stepdown setting is preferred.
- Ability to read telemetry strips is essential.

Registered Nurse - Stepdown & Floor Schedule This position requires a 12-hour day shift on weekends, Friday through Sunday, from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, with holidays as scheduled.

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
