About the role
Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Cleveland, Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Provide step-down care to patients recovering from acute illnesses or surgeries.
- Assist with medication administration and monitor patient progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Perform routine patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months of recent Stepdown experience is required (travel experience counts).
- Active Ohio (OH) State or Compact RN license must be in hand at the time of submission.
- BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) and ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) certifications are mandatory.
- Passing scores on an ECG Rhythm Recognition test and a safeMedicate assessment during orientation is required.
Qualifications
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience is preferred but not strictly required.
Skills
- Strong clinical skills in step-down care.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
