Travel Stepdown RN - $2,301 per week

About the role

The nursing team in our Stepdown/MedSurg unit is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to provide high-quality patient care in a flexible unit that serves both med-surg and step-down patients. Our diverse patient population primarily consists of individuals with medical diagnoses, and we are committed to adapting to the needs of our patients and the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients, adhering to a nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1 for med-surg and 3:1 for step-down patients.
• Administer medication and provide necessary treatments as per physician orders.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and managing patient information.
• Monitor and titrate drips as needed, including but not limited to heparin, insulin, and opioids.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new staff as needed.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association is necessary.
• EPIC experience is mandatory.
• Previous experience in a step-down or med-surg unit is preferred.

Pay & Schedule

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
